"Every week, I'm impressed with how I end up showing up for myself. The aesthetics of the content are beautiful." - Tina, Former Group Member
Experience calm and confidence amidst chaotic workdays or your kid’s tantrums. View setbacks and struggles as part of the process and not a sign of failure.
Be proud of your successes without putting yourself down. Feel seen for what you contribute to work, relationships, and your community.
Ask for what you want and need from partners, bosses, and coworkers. Have realistic expectations of what you can accomplish in a day.
Struggle with anxiety, overdoing, or perfectionism, and its negative impact on their life, relationships, work, and self-esteem.
Seek an intimate community that understands the unique challenges of experiencing anxiety and navigating professional spaces as a person of color.
Desire to live a more balanced, fulfilling life while honoring their personal and professional goals.
Tired of masking, dimming their authenticity, downplaying their needs, and supporting the narrative they come last.
During our 6 weeks together, you’ll:
Experience Community Support: Connect with a group of fellow BIPOC professionals who understand the intersectional challenges you face in your daily life and workplace.
Embrace Your Cultural + Racial Identity: Use art as a medium to explore and honor your unique cultural experiences and racial identity.
Uncover Your Unique Perfectionistic Style: Identify the root of your patterns and what puts you at risk of people-pleasing, anxiety, and over-achieving.
Practice Self-Compassion: Learn to treat yourself with the kindness and the understanding you deserve so you can build a life of joy and resilience.
Celebrate Your Achievements: Let go of perfectionist tendencies and recognize all you have accomplished, without putting yourself down in the process.

It’s hard for perfectionists of color to identify as 'perfectionists’ since they often feel anything but perfect! Plus, there are different perfectionistic subtypes, and it can look different for BIPOC professionals than non-BIPOC folks.
Perfectionism doesn’t always show up as you expect. You might experience it as procrastination, decision paralysis, over functioning, and constant editing of yourself.
If you resonate with any of this, you’re in the right place.
I’d love to invite you to join this group, get support from other BIPOC professionals, and experience freedom from anxiety and perfectionism.

It is experiential, creative, and process-focused. Most groups keep you intellectualizing your anxiety—without learning how to experience other ways of being. This group integrates experiential groups, art therapy-infused exercises, and a focus on the process, not the outcome. Not to mention, you’ll get live group and individual support to keep you going when you feel discouraged.
This comprehensive experience ensures a holistic and personalized experience, setting it apart from self-paced courses. It is also a more robust experience than just working individually with a therapist or coach.

Group calls are held on Tuesdays from 6:00-7:15 pm (CDT), lasting 75 minutes.
Each session begins with a 15-minute introduction where we review the theme of the week. This is followed by an hour of facilitated, hands-on art-making.
We’ll start with a warm-up activity and then dive into the main art project, which connects to the week’s theme. After creating, we’ll have time for discussion, reflection, and setting action steps.
Feel free to share your thoughts as you create, or simply enjoy the quiet and focus on your art.
If you're ready to break free from perfectionism, find balance, and connect with a supportive community, this group is for you. Whether you're a driven professional struggling with anxiety or just looking for a creative way to reset, you'll find the tools and connection you need here.
No art experience needed! This program focuses on the process, not the finished product. All you need is curiosity and an open mind. Whether you’re a stick-figure artist or someone with an established creative practice, you’re welcome in this group.
I suggest gathering some basic supplies before the group starts. This might include paper, pens, pencils, magazines to collage, markers, and crayons. No need to purchase anything fancy, unless that’s exciting to you. I will provide a list of suggested materials prior to the group starting so you can ensure you are prepared.
The program will be conducted online, with weekly experiential group sessions, recorded lessons, and a supportive community for sharing and connecting. Group experientials are conducted via Zoom on Tuesdays at 6 pm (CDT). Participants report they get the most from the group when they attend live. However, if you miss a group you’ll be able to review the recording.
Art therapy exercises are a powerful tool for self-discovery and managing perfectionism creatively. These exercises offer a unique approach to exploring emotions and fostering resilience. No artistic skills or experience is required- it's about the process and not the product. BIPOC professionals will especially benefit from exploring the beauty of imperfection through art and appreciating the process rather than focusing on outcomes.
This group may not be the best fit if you’re looking for a quick fix, prefer to avoid self-reflection, or aren’t open to an art-infused therapeutic experience. It’s designed for those who are ready to engage, explore, and commit time to their personal growth through creativity.
While I am a licensed therapist, this group is not a therapy group. While this is a facilitated group, it should not be a substitute for medical or mental health support from a licensed professional. Members are encouraged to be engaged in individual therapy during the process.
